Great stay and loved the...

Liked: The location of the hotel is amazing and we loved breakfast looking out to sea !!. Breakfast was excellent although some mornings if we were late the food wasn't 'fresh' which for a 5 star hotel should be. We only had dinner once as so expensive but very good quality. The fillet stake was £30 and a packet of crisps was £3.50, also the beer for a small bottle was £8 so I do think they should review their prices. .50
Disliked: Cheaper prices at the bar and restaurant. Would have been nice to see a front of house Manager !! where was he ??!! - We would of thought this is a must in a hotel of this calibre.

A rare treat in every...

Liked: This was easily one of our favourite getaways. As a couple with older children we have started getting away for a weekend, over the last few years. With a good many being mediocre. This gorgeous cottage was NOT one of them. This was a beautiful place, very professional.Attention to detail.Amazing views and access to coast path.Really lovely staff.Super comfy bed and just really special and luxurious.A rare treat!
Disliked: We absolutely loved everything but...In the context of feedback in the form of constructive criticism..The windows are a little grubby, especially upstairs which obscures the beautiful view, just a smidge. The water was a little tepid in the bath. This could be personal preference?More observations than dislikes!

This was a hotel with...

Liked: Breakfast food and drinks excellent but service and keeping buffet stocked patchy.Out of 3 dinners, 2 were very good but the first one (cake-like, crusted souffle with flat, gritty salad leaves and gritty, rubbery scallops) was notThe location is stunning with coastal and inland walks (on which the staff were poorly informed), and my deluxe double room with en suite was excellent. The minibar stocked with real milk & cold water, and the hot drinks selection plus fruit and biscuits supplied daily were really welcome and much appreciated.
Disliked: See above re first night dinnerSmoke alarms went off, we evacuated, but no-one came to the assembly point from staff to give all-clear)Terrace furnitire and sun brolly in terrible conditionAnother room's dinner charges went on my final bill - luckily, I spotted it!In the dining room, the panoramic windows need venetian blinds for when the sun pours straight in to ensure diners are not overheated or blinded!
