Perfect break with wonderful hosts....
Liked: Thank you Jim and Tine for being such wonderful hosts. We had a really good time and went on some amazing hikes we probably wouldn’t have considered without Jim’s advice. And thank you Tine for the wonderful breakfasts setting us up for the day.
Disliked: Everything was perfect.

Great location, a warm welcome...
Liked: Great location at the foot of Little Mell Fell and only five minutes to Ullswater and ten minutes to Pooley Bridge and Glenridding. The location is great for access to the Eastern and Northern Fells for anyone doing the Wainwrights.A very warm welcome and lovely hospitality generally. The room was very comfortable and warm and after a long day on the Fells a hot bath was most welcome. The food was delicious, locally sourced and so much home made, it was wonderful. We will be back for sure, and soon.

Comfortable, friendly, relaxing.
Liked: Lowthwaite is a remote farmhouse, it has been modified and extended to include all modern facilities, the house has lost none of its charm. It’s furnished with interesting and comfortable beds made from the timbers of Arabian dhows. The hosts are welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area, the breakfasts were 5* making use of local produce.

Liked: Beautiful place and area.
Disliked: Very thin single duvet cover on king size mattress.very cold through the night.why not just leave the double or king-size duvet cover on the bed.dont understand the logic (is it because I was a solo guest)..very uncomfortable sleep.cool shower.luke warm bath no hot water.seating area upstairs uncomfortable
