We felt like at home

Liked: Great hotel in a great location, very clean. A bottle of wine and many other small extras made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was great. Amazing staff - both gentlemen at the check-in and checkout were fantastic, very friendly and very professional. The ladies at breakfast were great, always smiling and hardworking.We met one cleaning lady in the lift and she was smiling and friendly too. 10 out of 10. Thank you very much for the hospitality (and for the fridge magnet, I love it).
Disliked: When we had to leave.

Good distance to town centre,...

Liked: Good distance to old town and castle, car park around the hotel area, good breakfast but limited hot food.
Disliked: Old building that needs some diy, no air con (due to the fact that it is a unesco site they are not allowed to install air con), very busy and noisy road in front of the hotel- we had a first floor room and did not sleep at all due to the noise-it was hot and without air con we had to open windows (even with ear plugs it was super noisy). Some of the matresses were old and used, need replacing. The breakfast room is small, so guests wait in corridors for a table. Will not be staying there again, do not recommend.

Pleasant hotel, spacious rooms and...

Liked: A very spacious room for a family of four, everybody had plenty of space for themselves. Old historical building with lovely details. Very nice staff, smiling and helpful, very polite. Complimentary wine, a Prague pass, parking available anywhere in the zone 2 and a voucher for free drinks at the top of the sister hotel (prosecco, beer, coffee and Coke to choose from) with amazing views of the city.
Disliked: We were expecting it so we cannot complain and we're not, however, the hotel is situated next to a very busy road, so it does get very noisy in the room. Even during night you can hear the buzz of the city. The hotel provided ear plugs though, which was helpful. We had to keep the windows open as it was hot during our stay in August. This is a UNESCO building, obviously you cannot have an AC, but it is something to be aware of. There is an additional fan.
