Great value for comfort and location

Liked: Very comfortable room and staff really did well getting the two rooms we booked to be on the same floor and pretty close to each other! Amenities were modern and abundant. Location was great to nearby eats, a fantastic bagel joint, and easy access to two metros. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
Disliked: Parking availability isnt great but thats NYC for you; its to be expected if youre driving into the city. No complaints!

Unfair treatment in a disappointing...

Liked: Location wasn’t too bad, few minutes’ walk from the Subway so you can reach Manhattan or the airport quit easily.
Disliked: Noisy and stains in the beds and curtains, sheets were fortunately clean.On our last day there was apparently a fire alarm due to a gas leak, forcing all guests to be evacuated and relocated to other hotels, as whe've heard when we arrived at the hotel late in the evening . when we hurriedly packed our things and got back to the lobby, it turned out that there were several stories going around. For example, not everyone could go to other hotels and some guests had to look for them themselves. Because we would check out the next day, we were allowed to stay in the hotel with a few other guests, but then all on the first floor. They couldn't answer why it was safe now, but sleeping on the street didn't seem like a good alternative either.Once we were in our new room, school buses full of people arrived and took shelter in the hotel, causing chaos and noise.The next day we tried to talk to the manager, but he wasn't there, just a lady from the reception, but she didn't know anything, except that the hotel is now a shelter.The fact that different stories have been told by the staff, people have been turned away etc, feels very bad, they just lied to the guests.

Liked: - very clean & comfortable room- the staff was friendly as well- free coffee (we absolutely loved the coffee, although many people wrote negative comments about it in their reviews)- the location is also not that bad (many people criticized it in their reviews; yes, its not fancy Manhattan but we felt safe. Also during the night)- great place to stay for a city trip
Disliked: - sometimes you could smell marijuana in the hallway, but you can smell it on every corner in Manhattan, too
