Liked: The room was very clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi & TV reception was unable to connect. The host was very nice and helpful, (he stayed around an extra 30 minutes after 8 PM to check me in).
Disliked: Services at Columbus is absent, (no restaurants, service stations, etc.) . I really had trouble getting there by closing time at 8 PM. I felt this was a little early for the remote location. I arrived after dark and missed the signage from the highway. I ended up traveling to the border before I realized I missed it. I recommend that the use better lighting on the sign. Even when I came back, I could barely see the sign from the highway. Maybe make another sign on the highway with an arrow. It wouldn't cost that much.

A lovely place with a...
Liked: We couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience! Not only is Los Milagros - a beautifully decorated adobe hotel in the sleepy little town of Columbus very close to the Mexican border - a quiet, very comfortable place to stay, we were also treated like guests more than patrons by Philip, the amiable owner. He suggested we visit Pancho Villa State Park with its very interesting museum with exhibits from the time when the Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa raided the little town of Columbus, and the following Mexican Punitive Expedition by General Pershing, just a block away from the hotel, and later took us to the border and explained how to cross on foot to Palomas on the Mexican side for a meal at "The Pink Shop", also an interesting destination.Quite unexpectedly there was breakfast available, too. The coffee was superb! While no restaurants are open in Columbus on the weekend, crossing the border is easy enough, and there are several places to eat in Palomas.
Disliked: Nothing!
