This was a nice room...
Liked: The room was really clean, the shower was nice, and the bed was perfect for us.

Liked: Very quaint. Great customer service. We ate across the street the food and service amazing. I like the fact they didn't charge for bottled water. I know....but that's a pet peeve.
Disliked: The bed was a little creaky.

Liked: The room was clean. The staff were friendly. It's close to downtown Los Gatos for food and shopping.
Disliked: The room was very small, and the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. We checked in 1.5 hours after check-in was allowed, and one of the staff knocked on our door but then immediately let herself in before I could answer the door, to turn on our heater. Mini fridge in room, but powdered creamer to go with Tully's Keurig pods. Just a few real creamers in the fridge would be so nice. They provide two bottles of water and plenty of linens.

Pretty and quaint, well-maintained, spotless.
Liked: The property itself has been around awhile, and while others might find it "dated," to me, since it was so well maintained generally, I found it pretty and quaint. The rooms themselves were smallish, nicely decorated, not too spartan. There was a little sitting area in front of the window with a desk and chair, and a walk-in closet, which you never ever see any more. It had a small refrigerator (larger than the standard minis you usually see), a Keurig coffee machine, and also it had a couple of place settings of dishware and utensils. The heater/AC is mounted on the wall with a remote control. Everything was absolutely spotless. The location is especially convenient since it is right across the street from Southern Kitchen which is one of my favorite breakfast places in the whole Bay Area. It's on Main Street so it's also close to other restaurants and shopping, if you're looking for that.
Disliked: I slept fine, but my husband said he felt a dip in the mattress and kept rolling into the middle. The tiles in the bathroom are originally pink, and I know this because they've been painted over white and there are a couple of places where the paint is wearing off. So I guess it's time for that bathroom and mattress to have a refresh. These are SUCH nitpicks though. We really liked it and the price was great for a New Year's Eve stay.

For the most part this...
Liked: Its a very quaint place. The Marilyn Monroe/Joe DiMaggio honeymoon history is fun. Location was the best. Rooms were nice and clean.
Disliked: We found the bed to be kind of old, uncomfortable (very soft) and extremely squeaky! When your partner tends to toss and turn while sleeping it can be very disruptive. Walls are thin. We could hear speaking voices and snoring through the walls. The shower nozzle would shriek just at the right temperature.
