The Spotlight on London Star Hotel

Affordable Stay Near the Beat of West London

Modern and budget-friendly, the London Star Hotel is located in Ealing, West London. This no-frills hotel offers simple, clean rooms and a quiet atmosphere, perfect for resting up after a night of live music. With convenient transport links nearby, it’s a smart choice for fans heading to concerts across the city.

Why Concert-goers love it

The London Star Hotel is a practical home base for music lovers. Set in a calm neighborhood, it's a pleasant escape from the post-show buzz. The hotel is well-connected via public transport, making it easy to reach major venues in central London and beyond. With 14:00 check-in and an 11:00 check-out, there’s a bit of flexibility for those late nights. Soundproofing is solid, so you’ll get the rest you need after the encore.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a budget-friendly stay before or after a show
- Solo travelers seeing their favorite artist
- Couples turning a concert into a weekend getaway
- Fans needing a peaceful spot to recharge
- Budget-conscious music fans who prefer to spend more on tickets than accommodation

Food and Drink Options

The hotel has a small restaurant on-site, with basic meals available, including options for late arrivals. While 24/7 room service isn't available, the area offers several walkable eateries serving everything from kebabs to curry. For those recovering from a late night, breakfast is served in the morning, though options are relatively simple.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more low-key, you’re not far from Acton’s local pubs and bars. For a bigger night out, hop on a train to nearby Hammersmith or central London, where live music bars and late-night lounges are easy to find. It’s a great balance of peace and party.

What People Say

Guests often mention the hotel’s great value for money and friendly staff. Travelers appreciate the quiet location and the ease of getting to and from concerts via public transport. Cleanliness and safety are also frequently noted as big pluses.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are on the simpler side, and some guests mention they could use a few updates. There’s no elevator, which can be a bit of a climb with luggage. Breakfast is basic, so don’t expect a feast. But for the price, most concert-goers find it more than fair.

The Bottom Line

An affordable and quiet spot in West London, the London Star Hotel is a solid pick for concert-goers who want a clean, convenient base without breaking the bank.

Disappointed

Disliked: No staff present on arrival. Pressed buzzer and no response. Waiting 20 minutes for receptionist to turn up and wasn’t very forthcoming. Room wasn’t in the best of condition. Will not be returning.

Zero customer service

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: When we arrived at the hotel there were two men sat outside smoking bongs, not a great first impression.Once in the property, we were keen to check in and freshen up, we had been travelling for four hours and it was a heat wave of 30 degrees. The reception desk was unmanned, not a member of staff to be seen anywhere. We rang the bell and waited, still no one came, after ringing the bell several more times and waiting at least ten minutes I rang the reception desk telephone, still no one came. After waiting at least 20 minutes we asked a man outside emptying the ashtrays where the staff were he said he would ring someone. Ten minutes later a lady turned up with no apology and barely spoke two words to us.She then told me I needed to wait one minute while she disappeared upstairs, clearly our room was not ready even though it was nearly 4pm and check in was from 2pm. She came back down another ten minutes later with my room card, again no apology or explanation. Our room was very dated, electrical sockets were hanging off the walls, no tea, coffee or milk was provided. The bathroom floor tiles are sharp and uneven and the bathroom mirror has clearly been hung by a 6ft male which made it completely useless. This is not a family hotel by any stretch the windows could be opened far enough to jump out with no safety catches. The curtains were hanging off the rails and the beds were uncomfortable. The area is rough and noisy and the customer service was non existent, I couldn’t wait to leave. When I handed back my key card at reception there was no interaction, no thank you, no how way your stay and no goodbye.

Would not rush back to...

Liked: There is very little to like about this property
Disliked: Everything! Hotel is very run down, holes in wall, threaded carpets, damaged furniture, worrying electrics, curtains falling off and not fitting the windows, on top of a Shisha bar which is very disconcerting walking through a crowd of people to get back into your hotel late at night, tables outside on the road with a LOT of people drinking, smoking and playing dominoes, on a very busy road/junction, noisy location, generally an uncomfortable place to be.

It felt like a Wish...

Liked: Good location - close to lots of stations and eateries.Staff were great with organising a birthday balloon set up in the room for my arrival as I was surprising my partner for his birthday and first time trip to London.
Disliked: It felt like a Wish shopping cart - what you order / vs what you got.The room was supposed to be a double deluxe but there was nothing deluxe about it. It was minuscule, tv batteries with dried up lithium all over them, but tv did have Netflix, old drawers, a tiny window in the corner that had a blind that was hard to open and close, and a shower that was either boiling hot or freezing cold. I specifically asked for the nice big room pictured below - but what I got was its small micro version. Apparently the nice big rooms were on the other side of the same floor - the double deluxe rooms, which I had ordered, but I didn’t get the pleasure of actually staying in one even though that’s what I paid for. Pictures on the wall were wonky. It just felt like they had 3 nice rooms in the entire building, which are the ones featured online, and that’s it. Not even sure if they even exist in there.Anyway, wouldn’t stay again. Not the luxury experience I had imagined I would give to my partner for his first visit in London.
