Modern convenience meets traditional charm at the London Olympus Hotel Nirvana, located in the heart of Stratford. With its classic décor and welcoming vibe, this budget-friendly hotel offers easy access to London's top music venues via Stratford International Station, just a 10-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi, private bathrooms, and in-room tea and coffee facilities make it a simple yet comfortable base for your concert weekend.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're heading to a show in East London or hopping on the Tube to catch a gig in Camden or Soho, this hotel puts you in a prime spot. You're just a quick walk to Stratford Station, giving you access to Underground, DLR, and mainline trains that run late into the night. The area stays active into the evening, but the hotel itself offers a peaceful retreat after a loud night out. Late-night buses and airport connections (including to Stansted) make it easy to get around no matter your schedule.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends wanting a low-key, affordable place to crash
  • Solo travelers checking off a must-see artist in London
  • Couples looking for a no-fuss weekend stay near the action
  • Fans who appreciate a quieter space to recover post-concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting proximity without the price tag

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel doesn’t offer an on-site restaurant, you’re only a short walk from Stratford’s bustling selection of eateries, cafes, and takeaway spots—perfect for pre-show bites or post-gig snacks. Tea and coffee facilities in every room mean you can start your morning slowly, especially after a late night. Breakfast options are easily found nearby.

Nightlife Options

Stratford has a growing nightlife scene, with pubs, bars, and lounges within walking distance. For those wanting to explore further, Stratford Station gives you access to London’s best-known bar districts in minutes. While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, it provides a quiet base to return to after a high-energy night out.

What People Say

Reviews often highlight the hotel’s great value, clean rooms, and excellent transport links. Guests love how easy it is to get around London from this location, and many mention the friendly, helpful staff and the reliable Wi-Fi—handy for checking gig times or posting your concert selfies.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the décor is a bit dated, and the bathrooms, while clean, are on the smaller side. There’s no lift, so light packers may have an easier time. Still, for the price and location, most visitors feel it’s a solid choice.

The Bottom Line

A no-frills, well-connected hotel that gives concert-goers everything they need: comfort, location, and affordability.

Bad

Liked: The staff has friendly
Disliked: The bed was small and uncomfortable, too hard. We were in a room that looked like a cellar, because we were all under the ground floor. The wardrobe seemed to have been taken from some street, because it was ruined, you could see that it was not new. There were not even a table and at least two chairs. Terrible value for money

Needs some TLC

Liked: The manager / owner (?) was apologetic and generous when our room was not ready for the 2pm check-in, went over and above to apologise. All staff are polite and friendly. The mattress was comfortable for me, and the bedding/towels were clean. I liked that there was a kettle and complementary breakfast bars and water. This was a nice touch.
Disliked: I accept that this was a budget hotel, but there is a budget, and then there is even below budget, which this hotel is. I could get better furniture off freecycle than what was in the room. The bathroom is so small that the toilet has been squashed into a tiny space that to wipe your bum, you have to step away from the toilet to get some space to wipe properly. The curtains don't fit the windows (too small), and the mattress doesn't fit the bed (too big for the bed). I also hadn't realised that i would be sleeping next to a fridge all night, which clearly goes through its cooling cycles. Worst of all, the double socket used for the TV and fan needs urgently looking at. You are unable to use the fan at the same time as watching the TV as one socket cuts the other one out depending which you use and you can switch the other item on using the 'on' switch to the other socket... seriously, how has this passed safety checks??? The doors in general need some attention as we were unable to shut the room door without locking it shut, and the bathroom door didn't shut properly either. Also, it would have been nice to have had two pillows each, rather than us having to fold our one pillow each in half. The rooms need updating and some tlc.

DisappointedSmoking smell, noisy

Liked: The cleaning lady was so cute and kind to me and working very hard.
Disliked: I booked 2 nights in the london olympus hotel nirvana. I asked in advance to check in earlier in the morning. When i arrived my room was not ready, they asked me to wait 30 min but i could not due to work. So they gave me a room in another building 15 m away called the london olympus hotel". The whole building smelled really bad, strong smoking smell. My room also, especially the bathroom. My room was on the first floor with the view on the main road. There was only a thick opaque curtains so i could never opened them and seee the kight, otherwise people would see my room. I recommend adding thin curtains for not being see through. At night, i could hear the cars and all the people coming inside and walking in the other rooms, even with earplugs. I did not sleep well at all.

Great place especially for the...

Liked: For the cheap price, this was a great place to stay. Great location and the staff were really friendly. Comfy beds and they'd put a fan in the room for us and gave us bottles of cold water which was really great during the heat wave.
Disliked: There were some small things, like the shower being a bit difficult to control temperature wise, and the toilet being a bit noisy when refilling in the night. But for the price these were very minor details and not a big deal at all.
