Don’t eat in the Parson’s...

Liked: Room was clean bed comfy. Check in easy.
Disliked: Having to wait 48 minutes for a meal! Staff did not inform us of a delay. We had to ask twice for any information on length of wait. Unacceptable. Why when there is a kitchen available a cooked breakfast had be be ordered in the main hotel? Corridor of ground floor covered in peanuts, from evening to the following morning.

Disliked: The room itself was nice and comfortable, but the included breakfast was a complete letdown. It was very poor quality, and to make things worse, the same hotel offered a better “hot” breakfast option for an extra £10. It felt like a bit of a rip-off. Disappointing experience overall, especially considering breakfast was supposed to be included.

Liked: The bed was comfortable but small for a double. Evening meal in the attached pub was good value and cooked nicely. Receptionist in the Pub was very helpful. Dogs were allowed in the pub and Lodge. The pub had a very good selection of beers, not just larger as in most places nowadays.
Disliked: The booking.com page didn't state that you have to pay car parking and breakfast was only a very basic continental in the lodge, you have to pay and £10 for a cooked breakfast in the hotel. All the spar facilities are in the hotel not the lodge. There was only 2 coat hangers in my room which didn't bother me, but if two or more people stayed it could be an issue. The bedroom floor was stained and the hall outside the rooms was worst, these stains weren't from dogs, more like bleach or wine. The bathroom tap needed some maintenance as it was very stiff, also the drain in the shower couldn't handle the amount of water the very good power shower shot out. I had to turn the flow down to stop it flooding the bathroom.
