The Spotlight on Lodge at Bristol

Modern comfort just outside Bristol – perfect for concert nights

The Lodge at Bristol is a sleek, contemporary hotel located in Almondsbury, just off the M4 and M5. With 36 high-spec double rooms and easy access to Cribbs Causeway and central Bristol, it’s an ideal base for concert-goers looking for both convenience and comfort. Rooms feature generous workspaces, spacious modern bathrooms, and free Wi-Fi to keep you connected before and after the show.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel is a favorite for fans heading to shows thanks to its quick access to Bristol’s top venues via nearby road links and public transport. While it’s not in the heart of the city, that means you’ll enjoy a quieter night's sleep after the music ends. Check-in starts at 15:00, giving you time to settle in before an evening gig, and the 11:00 check-out means you won't feel rushed the next morning. Bonus points for easy parking and proximity to late-night taxi and rideshare options.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends wanting a comfortable, affordable base
  • Solo travelers chasing a bucket-list show
  • Couples making a weekend of it
  • Fans who prefer a peaceful night post-gig
  • Budget-conscious music lovers needing great value

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Black Sheep Kitchen Coffee and Social offers a cozy spot for breakfast, including late riser options with vouchers included in breakfast-inclusive rates. While there’s no full-service restaurant or bar on-site, you’re close to Cribbs Causeway, where a range of eateries and late-night bites are easily accessible.

Nightlife Options

This hotel is more about recharging than raving—but if you’re still buzzing after the show, nearby bars and lounges in Bristol are just a short drive away. It’s a great pick for those who want to enjoy the city’s vibrant music scene and then retreat to a more relaxed setting.

What People Say

Guests praise the clean, modern rooms, friendly staff, and excellent location near major roads. The peaceful atmosphere is often highlighted by travelers who appreciate a break from the hustle after a busy night out. The fast, free Wi-Fi also gets frequent shoutouts.

Areas for Improvement

There’s no on-site bar or restaurant beyond the café, so if you’re looking to keep the party going post-concert, you’ll need to head out. A few guests mention that the hotel is a bit “out of the way”—but for many, that’s a plus.

The Bottom Line

The Lodge at Bristol is a smart, quiet choice for concert-goers who want modern comfort, easy access, and a peaceful place to crash after the encore.

Very comfortable

Liked: The room was spacious and comfortable. Separate comfortable chair to sitvon with foot stall so didn't have to sit on bed to watch tv. Large bathroom. place to hang clothes. Couldn't hear traffic were friendly and approachable. The outside looked inviting.
Disliked: Tv very basic just freeview but not a great choice of channels

Excellent room, poor breakfast

Liked: The room was bigger and better than I expected
Disliked: The breakfast was poor and not good value. There was no vegetarian option which was disapointing. The staff were less friendly than the rest of the site. I was ignored and there was no effort to provide me with a hot breakfast.

Pleasant

Liked: The area, we have stayed at the other hotel here several times. Useful for the motorway. Safe to walk around at half 6 in the morning when your baby won't sleep.
Disliked: Ridiculous clear/frosted bathroom door which faces the bed(s).To add to this the bathroom door wouldn’t click shut, but with the door the way it is there really isn't much point in shutting it anyway

Nice stay but breakfast options...

Liked: Location great, room had everything we needed,
Disliked: We didn't book the breakfast before arrival and we were not advised on booking in about breakfast or food facilities available during our stay as we were staying in the lodge, in the morning, we found out at the hotel reception that breakfast for us was in the black sheep, on going there, we were told by a member of staff she wouldn't be long, ten mins later, she said that breakfast options available were only breakfast baps (but didn't know how many left) or pastries (it was only 9.00am), we decided to go else were.
