Liked: The managers , I honestly thought they were the owners. Kind , attentive and charming. A married couple who love serving is definitely an anomaly.

Liked: The room was clean and comfortable. I appreciated having a fridge and microwave. The motel is right across the street from the Soo Locks. The breakfast was good and I enjoyed talking with Lucy.

Glad we experienced it!

Liked: The staff was amazing - they worked with us for an early check in as we had a Soo Locks tour scheduled within an hour of our check in time. The room was very clean and absolutely suited our one night stay!
Disliked: Lockview Motel was good! Sault Ste Marie itself was a bit different/smaller than we anticipated but we enjoyed the Soo Locks tour and our stay at the hotel. The room would have been too small if we were staying longer than the one night.

Liked: The location was the best thing about this hotel. The Soo locks are directly across the street and there are several restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance.
Disliked: When I checked in, I wasn’t given the room I booked. They did move me to a better room, but it still wasn’t what I booked. The motel was pretty run down and in need of updating. It felt a little on the sketchy side. It was adequate, but I wouldn’t book it again.
