Liked: We liked the outside property, the rural location was lovely. The park for the children was amazing. The wooded looked nice, but we didn’t go there. The bar and restaurant were lovely and the decor was great inside the bar. The food was delicious (slightly pricy, but still good). The lady serving our evening meal and breakfast was fantastic (apologies didn’t get her name), but she was amazing and worked extremely hard. The spa and pool was nice, a bit dated but lovely. The breakfast was super tasty, no complaints about that, the bed was comfortable. The cost was okay. I feel the food was very expensive, but again tasty, so it almost justifies the cost.
Disliked: The actual property could’ve been a bit cleaner. The stairs leading to the rooms, were extremely dirty. They looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The floor inside the spa changing rooms were dirty and grubby. Whilst it was a nice area and we enjoyed it being on the farm, the actual smell was awful. It smelt like slurry had be laid and it was disgusting. Appreciate that couldn’t be helped massively. But the rooms had no air conditioning, meaning the windows were open and the smell was not good to sleep in. The bedrooms were quite dark, even with the lights on. Some of the staff seemed slightly rude, not intentionally, but I think seemed uninterested. Whilst leaving to get to our vehicle, it was covered in flies due to the smell of the farm.

Liked: Beds were comfortable, staff were lovely, very welcoming and helpful ,breakfast was lovely, and the spa was very enjoyable. The pool was a nice size but could do with an update.
Disliked: Pictures don't show that the hotel is right beside a working farm. Tractors pulling slurry tanks going right by the hotel and working in the farmyard. We understand work has to be done but suggest the farm machinery could be routed away from the hotel. Also the outside grounds needed more tending.

Enjoyable

Liked: The Accomodation was very comfortable. The staff had excellent customer service skills, they accommodated our requests and were kind and friendly. This place feels like home and I would definiltey recommend it for the great facilities (pool, jacuzzi, hot sauna and steam room) and the most delicious and hearty meal!

Fantastic family hotel.

Liked: Lovely Hotel, excellent facilities, all of the hotel was lovely and clean, great views. Especially enjoyed by my tractor mad son as it’s on a working farm. Super friendly staff. A perfect little break.
