Great location, a good nights...

Liked: Convenient location for a stay after a friend booked us tickets to a concert in Aberdare. We were in the Coach House which was comfortable and having a ground floor room was great as my wife can struggle with lots of stairs. Breakfast was really nice. We were impressed with the upgrades the owners are doing to the hotel having not been for many years. We were told that the Coach House is on the ‘To Do List’ for upcoming renovations so my wife made one small suggestion that they should add carpet or a runner on the stairs as you can hear people on them from the room we were in. It wasn’t a problem for us, it was just something she noticed. We are looking forward to our next stay and to see what happens next with this beautiful hotel!

First impressions good , but...

Liked: Bed was super comfy , lift made it easier to access upper floors , good selection of beers and spirits although expensive .
Disliked: It’s coming into wedding season , lots of kids left to their own devices whilst the parents enjoyed themselves , noisy , people smoking below our window , corridors smelly , house keepers need to change the vacuum bags , as it’s a pet friendly hotel so leaves a smell where they vacuum .

Lovely hotel do not stay...

Liked: All was good with the hotel except in what did I not like. Staff good, location good. Room cleanliness good
Disliked: The room I was in had a hearing or ac unit out the window and so could not get to sleep u til it turned off so very noisy (room 5). In the morning at 5:25 the staff were getting things out of a container below my window talking and laughing so in the end got 3 hours sleep. The man at reception said how was your stay. I said all good except due to the above did not sleep which is the prime reason of a hotel. He said I am sorry to hear that… I waited for more e.g. I will look at the room or I will tell the staff not to be noisy at 5:45 am but nothing else was forthcoming so I left.
