Lion Inn - Saint Augustine

Liked: Very conveniently located to the amphitheater (only 1.4 miles away, and right on the same road as the amphitheatre). The bathrooms were obviously newly remodeled. Nice shower, toilet, and vanity. The room has a microwave and fridge in it. The bed was fairly comfortable. Also, we were able to park right outside our room. Front desk staff were friendly.
Disliked: The room we had was pretty small (one bed, 1 chair, 1 nightstand), but it was fine for two people. The hotel is located on a pretty busy road, so you can hear the traffic going by from inside the room. It doesn't have much atmosphere or any kind of view, but if you are looking for a clean room that is close to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and reasonably priced, this will fit the bill.

Liked: If you are looking for somewhere to simply just sleep, this is a great place. Nothing lavish, but exactly what you need for a quick stay in St. Augustine.

Probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again - would use this website again though.

Liked: They don't have breakfast.
Disliked: Charged extra for second child. Only allowed 2 Washcloths and 2 towels for 4 people. No coffee pot in the room. All they have in the lobby is coffee which they only have very small cups. No breakfast at all, not anything. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pool had no umbrellas or shade to sit under.

Best Budget Inn!! Clean and...

Liked: Really enjoyed our stay! We asked for a room away from the highway and they upgraded us not only to a room away from the highway but a much bigger room. The room was spotless. The location is unbeatable. If we are ever in St Augustine again, we’ll be back!
Disliked: My husband complained that the pillows were uncomfortable and made his neck hurt.

We had all we needed...

Liked: Location was close to the lighthouse, which is what we wanted. The room itself was very clean, although the paint was peeling off the inside of the door. The switch on the wall light close to the beds was a bit cantankerous, but we figured it out - connection seemed a little loose. Traffic noise was not noticeable from our room, which was back off the road a bit. Air conditioner worked well and so did the refrigerator. We did not use the microwave. Location was convenient and easy to get to other places of interest in St. Augustine. We stayed for 2 nights.
Disliked: I can't think of any negatives. The room wasn't overly fancy, but it was neat and clean. The same for the bathroom. We needed beds and a bathroom. The Lion Inn fit our bill perfectly.
