Wonderful ambience and a great...
Liked: Exceptional decor. The ambiance of the outdoor and indoor spaces is extremely well curated. The restaurant is outstanding and it was a nice change to have a fully a la carte high quality breakfast menu with no 'buffet' options.
Disliked: Rooms are perhaps a bit small. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was not working.

Linthwaite House is a vibe...
Liked: This is really a 5 Star hotel - the only difference being no spa (whoever goes to them anyway!). What's so special beyond the handsome house, beautiful rooms, fantastic attentive team on the front desk + restaurant and a mature garden filled with towering trees with views of Windermere below, is the art. It's a little like a Hauser & Wirth hotel - the owners have filled every space with special pieces from their collection. There is love to be found underneath what you experience here!

Liked: Good location, slightly away from the town but with a nice environment.
Disliked: However, we were threatened by the staff. After we checked out, a friend of mine was accused of breaking hotel policy in a room (which was not my room and didn‘t booked by me). When contacted, I expressed my willingness to compensate based on any evidence provided by the hotel. However, the staff initially refused to provide evidence and instead responded with rude phone calls, threats, and interrogations, stating they would call the police in 15 minutes and explicitly threatened us by mentioning they knew our upcoming itinerary and my home address. Ultimately, my friend paid £250 for smoking in the room. The threats and questioning from the hotel staff severely impacted my experience in Windermere, which was otherwise a perfect little town.
