Disliked: I did inform the hotel prior to arrival that we were celebrating my wife's 60th birthday, but there was no acknowledgement or mention of it during our stay. We did celebrate my 60th last year at Linthwaite House, and they made it very special,with some lovely gestures..

A marvellous 2 days of...

Liked: The setting of the property is magnificent with views overlooking lake Windermere.The surrounding gardens are beautiful and expertly maintained.The hotel itself is decorated inside to a high standard and it all feels very classy. Staff are very helpful and the service provided is excellent.The breakfast menu was delicious and varied but all cooked to order so fresh and hot.Dining in the Henrock restaurant was something we will never forget. We had the tasting menu and it was probably one of the best meals we have ever had.
Disliked: Our room was a classic and had everything we needed but was a little cramped and dark. Served us more than adequately for 2 nights but any more than that we would have struggled.
