Liked: The location was good for getting to the art museum and theatre where we wanted to be.
Disliked: The room was very hot, it was very hot weather outside, it has no aircon so we had to open the balcony door to cool down but it is extremely noisy with all the restaurants and bars downstairs, we could not sleep. Breakfast was not communicated properly, the breakfast is served by a restaurant not part of the hotel. On arrival at the hotel the reception ased us if we wanted to book for breakfast, we said yet, the next morning we went to the breakfast room but it was a restaurant afjacent to the hotel which is spearate from the hotel, they have an arrangement with the hotel, they preparedus a cold buffet, however they have an ala carte menu with hot breakfasts and when we wanted to order the hot breakfast from the menu isntead we were told we cannot since the hotel already booked us for the cold buffet, we did not know this is the arrangement and was not told so.On arrival the bin in the bathroom was not emptied. There was one roll pf spare toilet paper which the next day we started using, but the hotel did not replace the spare again, we had to go down and ask for it, also the coffee they said they replace everyday but also that we had to ask for, they did not replace it.

Liked: the location is very good close to whatever you need to see in Koln old town.the building is old but renovated recently in an acceptable condition.
Disliked: the building has no elevator and has a tight staircase not easy to go upper floors especially with kids or luggage.the room was quite small and i found long hairs on the floor although i am not very a man of cleanness but it does not feel good.reception is only available from morning to afternoon.breakfast is not a buffet, you should order. there are not much options although the staff were friendly and breakfast was tasty.if you come by car, be ware that you should pay for the parking meanwhile there are lots of parkings around.generally i wonder how this hotel got a 8.8 rate! i would rate it maximum 7.

Liked: Very well located hotel, specially if you are visiting the cathedral or the Christmas markets. The room had the perfect size for me and was well equiped and comfortable. Two drink bottles (water and local beer) were offered by the hotel. I did not eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on that.
Disliked: There was a bit of noise coming from the street outside the hotel during one of my nights there, but nothing of much concern unless you have a light sleep.
