Amazing stay would defiantly return

Liked: The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was much appreciated in a heat wave.

the spa was nice but...

Liked: the spa was lovely and the bed and bedding was comfortable. all the staff were friendly, polite and helpful
Disliked: the room was dirty with someone chocolate rapper on the floor and generally unclean. balcony is unkept. the breakfast although good quality product was swimming in grease. on the hottest day of the year the fruit juice wasn't i. fridge to keep cool

Nice place overall .. but...

Liked: Good location, nice facilities good cocktail menu and comfortable lounge area
Disliked: We stayed in what was termed “cosy room”. It was small as well with older furnishings and located at the top landing which was creaky and so uneven, the door had a 25cm gap at 1 end - so every foot step could be heard. Second to that there was no privacy due to the walls being so thin; every cough, sneeze, murmur, movement in the adjacent room was audible.

Overall a pleasant stay

Liked: The spa was good, generally staff were pleasant, room was decent, food was decent and overall decor was pleasant.
Disliked: The parking fee of £15 per night was a ripe-off despite the fact that the carpark was large enough and not even 1/3 full every day during our 5-night stay, so, we parked on the street. The housekeeping standard was a let-down - someone didn’t replace towels we put on the floor with clean one, nor replace finished toilet roll with a new one etc. We informed the front desk about the drainage issue of the bathroom sink, two consecutive days before someone came to ‘fix’ it but the same issue remained - we didn’t bother to ask for the service again.

Liked: Everything was amazing from start to finish, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food and service was great, I will definitely go back

Should have been better for...

Liked: Not too keen on the jaccuzi, but everything else in the spa was great. Evening meal was very nice. Lovely supervisor at reception on arrival as was the lady who manages the spa. The reception Supervisor brought me up 3 homemade chocolates just after I arrived as it was my birthday, which was a lovely touch.
Disliked: Long wait for breakfast and when it arrived, haddock was dry and poached egg hard. Room telephone not working, nor was the remote control. Manager sorted remote, couldn't do anything about phone. When going over these issues with the reception supervisor upon leaving, was totally ignored by the Manager which I found totally unprofessional.
