Liked: I had no idea what to expect as I chose on the basis of proximity to Sophia Gardens. The street is full of solid, well built, late 19th Century villas, one of which is Lincoln House. The rooms are well proportioned and have been tastefully furnished and maintained. Breakfast was filling with a range of items from which to select - but make you sure you obey the timings. The property is not far from the city centre, walkable without luggage, a short taxi or bus ride away. The hosts were helpful and knowledgeable.
Disliked: Nothing comes to mind.

Very dissapointed, rude staff, stole...

Liked: The break fast was moderate, the stuff not polite, they were starting that we could have break fast at 9 am and at 9.20 they were starting hoovering around us while we were eating and they were putting the drinks, jams, etc away from 9.10. We didn't like anything
Disliked: The staff stole £50 from our account because 2 tubes of soap were missing. Very rude over the Phone when tried to explain the situation where the self was not stable and they fell/broke down.So be careful when paying by card

Great place yummy breakfast

Liked: Lovely little stay, came for a concert and the hotel was so much better than we expected given we booked very last minute. Room was clean and up to date, staff were nice and breakfast was great, we didn't even realise it was included! Will come back if we return :))

Disappointing Experience at Lincoln House...

Disliked: Our recent stay at Lincoln House Hotel unfortunately fell short of expectations, as we encountered several concerning issues that significantly affected our experience. Despite bringing these matters to the attention of the reception staff, we were met with inadequate responses and a lack of proactive solutions to address our concerns.Our room presented numerous problems, including the presence of mould in the bathroom and a broken fan that led to excessive moisture, leaving all our towels damp. Instead of replacing them, the towels were carelessly folded and reused, resulting in an unpleasant odour. It was disheartening to see such neglect of basic housekeeping practices.Moreover, the parking situation was poorly communicated to guests, with the lot closing at 10 pm without prior notice. Despite discussing this issue with reception, it became apparent that this was a recurring problem, indicating a disregard for customer feedback and a failure to improve the overall guest experience.Additionally, the bathroom was dirty, with hair present in the bath, and the thin walls made it impossible to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep, as we were constantly disturbed by noise from neighbouring rooms.In conclusion, our stay at Lincoln House Hotel was overshadowed by maintenance issues and substandard service. It is evident that the management could greatly benefit from actively listening to direct customer feedback and implementing necessary improvements to ensure a satisfactory stay for future guests.
