Disliked: Really musty smell in bathroom. All a bit tired. Noisy as just above the bar

Disliked: The tap in the bathroom was very loose.

Disliked: No where to put the key if checking out early

Nicely decor but bad nights...

Liked: The room was really nicely decorated, with a a large bathroom and modern twist. Nice view of the waterfront through the window.Layout of the room was nice.
Disliked: The bed was really hard and uncomfortable and we didn't get a good sleep. The pillows weren't comfy. Also, the lights didn't all work and there were limited sockets for charging. The shower was either boiling hot or cold. The tempered glass windows also made us feel uncomfortable using the bathroom, as people could see silhouettes of people. No extra curtain for evening privacy. Small TV in corner of room where curtains obstructed view.

Central York, perfect location, lovely...

Liked: Perfect location, room was quite nice with a great view. Staff were really helpful. 25% off food and drink at Lil's bistro and at the bar underneath the rooms - this should be advertised more!
Disliked: Two of the rooms had showers that were either scolding hot or freezing cold, no inbetween. It was fine for us because we had 7 rooms and could just go an use a shower in another room.

Liked: the room was quite nice, partial views of the waterfront. The location was about 12 minutes from central York. Free tv and tea station was good. Room came with recommendations for tours and restaurants/bars
Disliked: I attended for an interview at the university about 35 minute walk, not close to most public transport systems.

Very good

Liked: Really comfortable bed & cosy room. Quite spacious too. Bathroom especially. Great discounts on food & drink when staying there. Good location for getting around the city. Nice staff.
Disliked: Can be noisy but to be expected being on a street with pubs & a popular bar.

Noisy, draughty and likely to...

Liked: The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. The staff were welcoming, showed me to my room and checked me in quickly. They were polite and pleasant, even when I queried why they were charging me for breakfast that was supposed to be included. There was a hairdryer, hand wash and body wash available. The room had a kettle and drink making station which was stocked well with tea, coffee, biscuit, mugs and clean water glasses. The view was lovely, right next to the river and view of one of the bridges, and the rising water!
Disliked: It is incredibly noisy, it’s located in a place where drunk people were coming and going all night, leaving the supposedly secure front door open. The walls and ceilings/floors are paper thin so you can hear everything from above, below and beside. It was the worst nights’ sleep I have had at a hotel. The windows let in a terrible draft and the radiator in the room didn’t work. Breakfast is not included as per the booking, which after not sleeping, being cold, and not feeling safe, was one of the many reasons I am unlikely to stay here again. As a solo female traveller I would not recommend staying here.
