Lighthouse Lodge & Cottages

Great place close to the...

Liked: We went with our family. We had one cottage that had a living room with a backyard and that was awesome for everyone to hang out in. Including our dog. The pool, hot tub and fire pits were a great feature that we all enjoyed. The staff was all very friendly.
Disliked: The cell phone reception was horrible. And in the evenings when more people were at the property the WiFi didn’t work. So that was frustrating. The hot breakfast wasn’t very good.

Liked: It’s close to the beach.
Disliked: I like everything.

We always enjoy going to...

Liked: Breakfast was good. The room was spacious. The location is great. When this place was new it must have been very nice.
Disliked: The bed was pretty bad. There was mold around the grout in the bathroom sink. The shower was quite difficult to get in and out of. Not safe for seniors. And the toilet was really low.

Poorly maintained room

Liked: Location was walking distance to the beach. Pet friendly. There were packed breakfast bags to go and coffee by the lobby.
Disliked: The room, room 155 that we got had a bathroom door that needed fixing. Everytime you try to close the door, it makes a lot of noise. The second bed was not suitable for sleeping, one side of the mattress creaked everytime you moved. Good thing the other bed was still good. The night lamp by the table was flickering. The french door curtains was a bit hard to move. The holder stick fell too easily. Only one broken chair outside by the ‘porch’ was available. For some reason, the other rooms had two functioning chairs and a table.

Superb

Liked: Great breakfast included and other amenities.
Disliked: Some of the grounds could be spruce up.

Cute place in great location

Liked: Cute place in a great location in walking distance to the lighthouse and shore. Room was bigger than expected and the bed was super comfortable. (Made me realize that we need an Eastern King bed!) Check-in staff was great. There was a long line but she kept her friendliness and helpfulness with each customer and didn't miss a beat.
Disliked: We stayed in the older area with the lodges. The cottages looked newer. This creeped me out a little bit, but we were right next to a cemetery. (As in, look outside the slider door and step onto the balcony and you are overlooking a cemetery.)

Passable

Liked: The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the price and that it was dog friendly.
Disliked: The pizza sauce on wall and with further investigation a piece of pizza behind TV stand. Also the scratches and patches and bubbled paint in bathroom. Also, I had no idea it was next to a cemetery!

Exceptional

It was pleasant but not...

Liked: Good location, nice staff, clean room
Disliked: Some maintenance issues(poor draining sink and shower, sidewalk in disrepair, floor tile with chip out of it)
