This adults-only luxury hotel is set within 130 acres of beautiful grounds and listed gardens with 35 treatment rooms and an 61 foot swimming pool. A Mediterranean inspired menu is served in the restaurant and a shuttle service is available at an additional fee from Thorpe-le-Soken Rail Station. Overlooking the gardens or gravel garden each room has free Wi-Fi access a flat-screen TV and free mineral water. Rooms at Lifehouse also feature a luxurious bathroom with designer toiletries fluffy robes and slippers. Guests can also make use of the sauna steam room hydrotherapy pool and salt inhalation room between check in and check out times. Liked: We love this spa, absolutely special place, food is amazing and location is Peaceful. Lifehouse recognised our many visits and surprised us with an upgraded room.
Disliked: We've been going to lifehouse spa often and always through booking.com. so it was a surprise when we arrived at 10am that we were unable to use the facilities until 3pm unless we paid an extra £30.00 per person. I will be taking this up with booking.com as I did not see anything regarding this.

a peaceful and beautiful escape

Liked: TThe building is modern - replacing a stately home that stood there before. The architecture and ambience of the building is Japanese in style. Light woods, glass walkways and understated soft colours. The pool and spa facilities are very well maintained with the plunge pool next to the saunas being a bonus. In the end I didn't have a treatment so can't comment on these. The adult only policy is wonderful - peaceful and gentle atmosphere. Perhaps the highlight is the gardens which were restored by the owners, so they are mature, beautiful and mesmerising and planned out on different levels and include little streams, a lake and the remnants of a Victorian (?) garden wall.
Disliked: wouldn't have changed a thing.
