Disappointed

Liked: Location was close to the subway and the breakfast was ok
Disliked: The bathroom was not clean. Hairs in the towel and dirty shower curtain, I was surprised that there was a curtain instead of doors in the first place. There is a strong smell of something that's used to clean both inside the room and outside.

Unsatisfactory

Liked: I only like the location.
Disliked: Staff was extremely rude. There was no tea and coffee in room which it should be. Also there was nothing at the breakfast apart from poached eggs. Staff is extremely unprofessional. They were not interested to help us at all. I felt like we waste our money.i wish i could get some compensation. Thanks

Great value stay at LIC...

Liked: Exactly as described. Clean, well functioning amenities. I didn’t know you could get this kind of value in New York 😌

Conveniently located, Decent Rooms, Helpful...

Liked: The Staff was cooperative, helping out and modest. The facilities were par excellence. The Hotel is located just a block away from Court Square/23rd Street Station on the "E" line; thus easy access from JFK via the Jamaica Station. There are food joints close by, en even for a strict vegetarian there indeed are some options. The Park beney the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge boasts of a breath-taking view of the Manhattan Skyline. The Breakfast was a decent one: continental so that for a vegetarian like me there was cereal and milk, and yes, potato wedges, bread, butter and jam ! Connectivity to Manhattan and in fact to anywhere in NYC is excellent.
Disliked: This is not a shortfall, but please have some vegetarian options in breakfast also ! Thanks !!!

Exceptional value for the money

Liked: Great location - easy access to subway to get to tourist attractions. Just a short 10mins ride to get to Manhattan.The room was clean, AC worked well and the bed was comfortable. No iron in the room but they provided it by request at the reception.Allowed us to store luggage before check-in and after check-out which was super important.Breakfast was great: eggs, bacon, bagels, fruits, pancakes - always fresh and tasty. Pretty much the same choice every day but ok for a couple of nights. Great that they provide coffee/tea/bagels the whole day

Very good

Less than we expected, but...

Liked: Coffee and bagels were available most of the time, which was helpful since we arrived very late. The hotel is rather clean and there is a possibility of sitting on the roof (there is a nice view at night).
Disliked: The room was very small (“European size”) and the bed was narrow and uncomfortable. The lady at the reception made a point that we should come down for breakfast together since the time there is limited to 30 minutes. In fact, the signs reminding the guests about it were everywhere. This is probably the first time I have seen such a limitation, and I did not expect to find it in a 200$+ per night hotel. Half an hour is sufficient, and we didn’t use it all (so we don’t know what happens to those who stay longer), however seeing these signs made us feel unwelcome. What if we wake up at different times and prefer not to come for breakfast together?

Liked: I had a great stay at the LIC Hotel. The room was nice and clean with a decent breakfast to start your day. The rooftop view was amazing, and the location was perfect (2 minutes from the metro). Also, the staff were kind and helpful.
