Great place to stay when...

Liked: Breakfast was very good, and the hotel was impeccably clean. I liked the attention to being an eco-friendly hotel.
Disliked: Two chairs would have been helpful. A bit crowded, but it would have been appreciated.

Liked: Very friendly helpful staff. Good generous breakfast served with love. Informative tour board and helpful staff. Clean and quiet and homely. Very comfortable bed! A refuge in a big city.
Disliked: 40 mins on metro to Manhattan a fair way, but worth the ride to stay here. Only 6 mins walk to metro. One direct line. Eateries en route.

Liked: The location was great, quiet and safe and less than 5 mins walk to the metro stations. The bed was comfortable.

Good value for the money

Liked: Good Beakfast. Location close to nearest Subway station "25 St". Very safe location, next to police station. Room/beds big enough for 4 people, not extra space or huge queen beds but very good especially if you comperay price level for "family" room with Breakfast. Uber to JFK cost ~80$ which was OK price. If you want to save some money and if traveling alone or just 2 people, you could take JFK AirTrain to/from closest subway station (cost 8.5$) and travel by Subway to the hotel (with one exchange)

Welcoming hotel! Very good value...

Liked: I very much liked the hotel and would happily stay here again. Very clean, thoughtfully set up, wonderful mattress. Expansive breakfast buffet. Eco- conscious practices.
Disliked: The bottom sheet on the bed was very weird, made of some puckered synthetic (?) seersucker type fabric. Not pleasant. Also, originally we were put in a room with a queen bed shoved against the wall, uncomfortable for two people, especially if one of them needed to get up in the middle of the night. But the front front desk person was very helpful and gave us a room with a bed surrounded by two night tables, which is what we wanted.
