A lovely small hotel near...

Nice decor, comfortable room, excellent...

Liked: Nice decor, comfortable room and excellent location in the city centre and opposite the chateau. The gated parking facility is a definite plus as an option and the manager of the hotel was outstanding. Nice hotel and would definitely come back.

The only plus of that...

Liked: The breakfast was the typical buffet style but acceptable. The room was extremely small and gloomy, hard to carry our bags through very narrow and poorly lit corridor.
Disliked: The decor of the hotel is mainly black, all walls are black, doors and the corridor to our room was awfully dark and narrow. It took away our expectations of a good place to spend two nights.

Liked: Great location: easy to reach from the station and right next to the castle. Ideal for me as an older (71 years old) solo female traveller. I also loved the decor: my room was a really classy dark green and there was a jazzy carpet, so nice not to have anodyne neutral decor! Very good breakfast with a large choice of food, cooked and cold; it was also excellent value. I hired a bike and there was safe storage for it.
