L'Hermitage Hotel

Beautiful, large rooms. Huge 5 piece bath with a deep soaking tub and separate water closet. Modern fixtures and beautifully updated. The balcony is very large, with enough room for a table and 4 chairs and still plenty of room to walk around. My husband loved the in room espresso machine and I loved the electric kettle for making tea. The food was also excellent! This will be the only place we stay from now on.

Disliked: As in almost every (North) American hotel, rooms are simple and only have the necessary things. Prices all over Vancouver are high, and so was this hotel.

Liked: Welcoming and bijou. Spacious clean rooms. Restaurant was excellent. Front reception staff were kind and friendly.

Liked: Very comfortable and spacious suite. Great staff. Loved the swimming pool.
Disliked: The kitchenette facilities were a bit lean- no spoons or knife. Glassware inadequate.

L'Hermitage is a welcoming boutique...

Liked: I loved, first and foremost, the connection we maintained with the staff. Everyone was kind, courteous, and helpful. The hotel is boutique sized, and well appointed, which I appreciate. A doorman, flowers in the lobby, two persons on the desk at all times...a lovely experience for us as first time visitors in this lovely city. Our room had a full bath, wonderful.
Disliked: The outside patio was a bit overlooked, sadly.

Liked: Frankly i loved it all: the location is perfect, the staff is exceptionally helpful without being over bearing (as many 5 star hotels tend to be), my room felt like an oasis, and the location is ideal. The design is exquisite without being over the top. Really no one should have any complaints.
Disliked: there is nothing they can do better because it is all so good.
