Liked the location and atmosphere - could have used some more personalized service.

Liked: Lives up to the Artistes name - much more enjoyable than a chain hotel.
Disliked: No maid service - we stayed 2 nights and were surprised that the room wasn't cleaned, bed made or given fresh towels after the first night.

Liked: It was off the beat and path. It has a fountain that helps with outside noises
Disliked: It didn’t fee secure. The balcony door was unable to be secured well as in fact was open when I arrived back to my room. I thought someone had broke in.

Disliked: Old run down, no soap, no service, no ice, refrigerator not working, no glasses, no instructions how to use shower

Liked: It's our second time staying here, and I was reminded how awesome it is. It's basic but very charming and an awesome location. Will stay again!

Liked: Absolutely loved this place! So full of artistic character. Being able to sleep at night with the balcony open and the ocean breeze coming in--was so heavenly.Love the bathtub!The lady at check-in was a nice as can be too.

Liked: Nice room and really liked the patio and view
Disliked: In the Bookings.com reservation it seemed like the room slept 3 people and that there was a separate bed, which is why I booked it. There was no separate bed so ended up having to share a king bed.

This is a decent hotel...

Liked: Very quirky, cute property. Lots of personality. Great location. Just 5 blocks from main area and beach.
Disliked: No coffee maker in the room. No ice maker on the property at all. The soap/shampoo dispenser was odd. I didn’t know it it was shampoo and conditioner, or one was soap. Luckily I brought all my own stuff. Just not quite the level I would expect given the price.
