Lovely hotel and staff but...

Liked: We have stayed here before and the hotel, rooms and staff are fine for our needs. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and helpful.
Disliked: We had dinner and breakfast..the dinner was probably the worst I’ve ever eaten and my guests agreed. I will never eat here again..it’s the Harvester for me in future. I had the fish and chips ( £17 approx ) . The fish was tiny and the batter so hard you couldn’t cut it . The fish and chips had obviously been reheated. My guests had other over priced rubbish and the chicken with curry sauce mix was awful.Breakfast was also disappointing. We had to ask for 6 things that had run out and only two were replenished and we arrived at 9.05. These were : no fried eggs, yoghurt, marmalade, brown bread, fruit bowl and bananas. There was no decaf coffee but a very pleasant waitress got some from behind the bar. My group paid almost £200 for food and drinks (£13 pp for breakfast alone)..a disgrace Leonardo.
