Nice hotel minor issues could...

Liked: Good breakfast. Heaps of proper crispy bacon, lots of sausages, half a dozen eggs, new potatoes were a nice touch, plenty of cereals, bread. Good location, close to train station, centre, (expensive) station car park. Comfy room. Nice bath. Plenty of staff at breakfast.
Disliked: Sausages were chipolatas not thick ones, well cooked but bland filling. Egg yolks were all set, none were runny. Corridor of 4th floor smelt musty, window at far end was open a crack but no air flow. Repair finish not to a high standard, paint spills on light switch, floor, door, picture, bath showed signs of repair. Only one tissue in bathroom box, hidden at back, box looked empty and not refilled - would have been useful to swab recent stitches (did not want to use toilet paper). Had to try keycard on lift and room door 4 or 5 times before it worked.

Not Great, Not Terrible

Liked: The location is great—just a 4-minute walk from the hotel to Brighton rail station. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. That said, the electric dryer in my room didn’t work, and the soundproofing left a lot to be desired. Overall, it was an okay stay, but I felt the price didn’t quite match the service. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels around the UK, and this one felt more expensive than many in London, yet with less attention to things like cleaning and maintenance.
Disliked: The facilities and the soundproofing.

Ok for one night but...

Liked: Friendly check in and helpful staff. Reception area is nice and bright with lots of seating and places to charge your phone. Location ideal next to train station.
Disliked: Very noisy outside in the street, and having the window closed in the room didn't make much difference to noise levels. Could also clearly hear people talking in the corridors outside my room. Bedhead in the room was worn and tatty. Rooms need some updates. The bar tender in the Bar area seemed stressed and was quite abrupt like she didn't have time to serve me even though it was very quiet on a Sunday afternoon.
