Disliked: Jacuzzi and pool had far too many chemicals. Stung our eyes so had to get out. Food overpriced.

Disappointing
Liked: The room, breakfast and pool facilities were excellent. The reception staff were competent and offered a very pleasant welcome to us after 4 hours travel. I left a personal item in my room on check out and an hour later upon realisation the receptionist was very accommodating in locating this item and keeping it safe for my collection. In regards the poor service of our evening meal, I'd like to comment that the couple on the next table, overheard our grumbles and made comment the service on the previous evening was no better. Their choice to visit on a second time but we certainly wouldn't.
Disliked: We had our evening meal within the restaurant, thus wasn't the main restaurant but the bar area. The service we received can only be described as appalling. From our experience alone it spoilt what had been a fantastic day. 4 adults and 2 children were within our party and we sat for our evening meal at approximately 7:15. The menu looked pleasant, basic meals but what would be expected on a bar menu, we chose some starters along with main courses. 1 from the child's menu. It took.approximately 30 minutes to place the order at the bar, this consisted of queuing and repeatedly having to give the order as incorrect entries were made and items were missed. After 75 minutes the starters were served, immediately followed by the mains! Having both courses at the same time meant having to mix inappropriate foods together of which was quite unpleasant. Firstly, two of the starters were the 'sharing' options, 2 dishes which were described as jointly feeding 4 people. We received 4 small nuggets on each serving. Agreeable that starters are smaller courses but the additional costing for a sharing platter was sadly not met with these dishes. Our surprise of receiving both courses at the same time was commented upon to the waitress. We were informed with a shrug, that it had all gone through on the same ticket and she walked away. My main of the steak, which was described as pink on the menu, was overcooked, tough and cold. I returned this to the kitchen and 20 minutes later received my fresh plate, clearly freshly cooked, but the sides I had ordered to accompany, I then had to eat cold, which was unpleasant. We waited a further 30 minutes for our plates to be cleared and 4 further asks with seperate waiters and waitresses as to the whereabouts of my child's ice-cream.Our evening meal was over a 3 hour experience which sadly was un-organised and poor quality.

Great hotel, if we had...
Liked: The hotel is lovely, the staff were friendly. The room was very spacious and clean. Even corridors were wide and airy, and the layout of rooms being in smaller pods detracted from the hotels size.
Disliked: Despite being there from Friday to Sunday, we could only get a slot to swim on Sunday afternoon after we’d left, even booking a week before. A large party of several rooms around us spoilt the experience by having loud conversation in the corridor and knocking on each others doors, until 11pm Reception weren’t really that interested.
