Great location, staff all friendly,...

Liked: Location superb, the hotels in a great spot. The staff were all friendly. The breakfast although we paid extra for it it was nice, a good selection and all breakfast items cooked well. The eating area was clean.
Disliked: * We were given the wrong room- I'm disabled after several spinal surgeries so I boooked and paid extra for an executive room as it had a bigger bed. So we arrived at the property, checked in, first of all were given a room key, carried all bags to room.... started to unpack, I had to sit down as was in pain. After 15/20 mins or so, I noticed the bed was very small. I rang & checked we were in correct room & was told there had been a mistake and altho it was an executive room some are small double beds, so we had to pack stuff back up & move rooms. An easy mistake really but just inconvenient due to my back pain & being on walking sticks.* Bed was very hard! - We had a nice stay, but found the bed to be 'so hard' and both found really uncomfortable. My partner usually can sleep anywhere, not problem, but he, like me found the beds very hard. Because of my spinal problems & having a lot of metal rods /plates in my back comfort is a BIG thing for me now & we come away mainly to relax as we don't go far.* Personal touch - only other issue was we were supposed to get some 'extras' as paying extra to upgrade to the executive room, however we weren't told about any of these when we checked in, so that was disappointing. Apart from these 2 things we still had a nice stay, the staff were helpful, I think we were served by a new member of staff just an easy mistake but lacked a bit of a tailored approachId contacted the hotel before our trip just to let them know about my mobility issues & also explained in advance that it was our daughters birthday & our anniversary. We'd booked 2 rooms. We had returned to this hotel as we used to use it a lot when it was the 'Jury's inn' when celebrating birthdays or any special occasion. I asked for a little birthday note or balloon or something to celebrate my daughters birthday, it would have meant so much, they'd have been over the...

Great Central Hotel for overnight...

Liked: Plenty of choice at breakfast - lovely friendly informative helpful staff - location perfect for shopping, restaurants and easy access for bus
Disliked: Always seem to be overlooking the air conditioning and can be noisy for a light sleeper like me - would prefer a street view .
