Leonard at Logan House offers a warm, boutique-style stay in a beautifully restored historic home in Grand Rapids. Tucked away in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood, this elegant bed and breakfast is just over a mile from the city’s top live music venues — including Van Andel Arena and the Grand Rapids Art Museum. With vintage charm, modern amenities, and a peaceful garden setting, it’s a relaxing base for your live music getaway.
Its ideal location — only 1.4 miles from major venues — means you can walk, bike, or ride-share to your show in minutes. Guests love the peaceful residential setting for winding down after a loud night out, and the outdoor fireplace and garden terrace offer a calm, social space for post-concert chats. With free parking, bike rentals, and flexible self-check-in options, it’s easy to arrive late or unwind without a rush.
While there’s no full restaurant on-site, the hotel features a cozy lounge and coffee shop to fuel your morning after a night out. The surrounding Heritage Hill neighborhood is full of walkable dining spots, and downtown Grand Rapids’ vibrant food scene is just minutes away. Breakfast options are available, and the homey kitchen setup makes it easy to store or prep late-night snacks.
You’re just a short ride (or stroll) from downtown Grand Rapids’ craft breweries, cocktail bars, and late-night lounges. While Leonard at Logan House keeps things mellow on-site, its location gives you easy access to nightlife — with the bonus of returning to a quiet, cozy retreat afterward.
Guests rave about the charming historic décor, comfortable beds, and the laid-back, friendly vibe. Many appreciate the quiet neighborhood feel paired with convenient access to the city. The outdoor fireplace and garden are frequently mentioned as great places to relax after a concert.
This isn’t your standard hotel — so don’t expect 24/7 room service or a buzzing lobby bar. Some guests note that the historic charm comes with quirks, like creaky floors or smaller bathrooms. But most agree that these are minor compared to the comfort and atmosphere offered.
Leonard at Logan House is a charming, relaxed option for concert-goers who want comfort, character, and convenience — all just minutes from Grand Rapids’ top venues.

Facilities were a 9 but...
Liked: Ruth and Ken were wonderful hosts. Ruth created a sumptuous breakfast each of the 3 days we stayed, with homemade pastries and different breakfast casseroles. In addition, there were baked goods available all day, a coffee machine that made latte's and other types of coffee drinks, a huge variety of other drinks including juices and soft drinks always available. The water in the bathroom got hot immediately. There was central AC so it was quiet. Plenty of parking on the street in front of the house, The Meyer May House (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright) was just down the street. We went there for a tour which I highly recommend.
Disliked: Our room was quite small with a queen sized bed, a small desk, chest of drawers and armchair. There was a closet and a nice bathroom with tub/shower. Being a 1890 home, the floors were very creaky and the bedroom was on the second floor so we had to drag the suitcases up a flight of stairs.

Wonderful experience. Would definitely stay...
Liked: The house is amazing, beautiful, clean, and quiet. Breakfasts were incredible. Leah is an amazing cook/host. She also is very knowledgeable about the house’s history and places in Grand Rapids to check out. The location is great for walking around the Historic district and a block away from the impressive Meyer May house (Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style home).
Disliked: Nothing I can think of.
