The Leon Hotel offers a sleek, no-fuss stay in the heart of Lower Manhattan, just a short walk from SoHo and the Brooklyn Bridge. With clean lines, practical comforts, and a city-savvy location, it’s a smart choice for travelers looking to soak up NYC’s energy — and its music scene. Rooms feature flat-screen TVs, coffee machines, and some even offer city views. Plus, with a 24-hour front desk and concierge services, you’re set up for a smooth stay from check-in to encore.
Leon Hotel puts you within easy access to a variety of downtown music venues. With the Grand Street Metro Station (B and D lines) just a few minutes' walk away, late-night transit after a show is a breeze. The 24/7 front desk makes late arrivals no problem, and the hotel’s quieter Lower Manhattan location means you can actually get some rest after the music fades. Bonus: the concierge desk is great for helping you track down tickets or navigate the city’s live music options.
While Leon Hotel doesn’t have an on-site restaurant, it’s surrounded by late-night eateries offering everything from dumplings to pizza within walking distance. Whether it’s a quick bite before the show or a 2am snack, Chinatown and SoHo give you endless options. Breakfast spots are also nearby if you’re recovering from a late night — just take a short stroll in any direction.
You're steps away from some of downtown Manhattan’s best bars, lounges, and underground music venues. From cool cocktail bars in SoHo to divey Lower East Side haunts, there’s something for every vibe. Leon Hotel itself keeps things quiet, so you can party hard and sleep easy.
Some reviewers note that rooms can be on the smaller side — not unusual for NYC — and noise from the street may be noticeable in lower-floor rooms. If you're sensitive to sound, ask for a higher floor or a room away from Canal Street.
Leon Hotel is a smart, stylish home base for concert-goers who want to be close to the action but still enjoy a good night’s sleep in downtown NYC.

Good value close to the...
Liked: Good value for how close to Manhattan and Brooklyn the hotel is. The room was clean, had AC, the staff was helpful, we could leave our luggage on the check out day free of charge.
Disliked: The surrounding area might be a little off putting for those who are not used to Chinatown. We never felt unsafe though!

Good
Liked: The room given to us had a really nice view facing Manhattan Bridge. Really close to restaurants and cheap stuff if you know where to look for. We got a luggage just for $55 while some sellers sell them for $140. Close to parks too.
Disliked: We had to go to the basement to get drinking water. Make sure you bring a big container/jug so you do not have to go down a lot. Subway stations are 10 minutes to walk. Would have been great if they were closer. Didn't like the way the receptionist welcomed us but I have put that behind me.

Stayed here almost every time...
Liked: The bathroom was modern with a rain shower and basic toiletries.
Disliked: There were some sketchy people outside the property since its near a popeyes. As long as you are aware, that's a minor thing. The main door had a passcode and 24h front desk so it's still pretty safe.

Quiet, easy hotel in Chinatown
Liked: The Leon Hotel has a great location in Chinatown right across from the Manhattan Bridge Arch. The hotel isn't a far walk from many restuarants or things to do in Chinatown. Subway stations are a 5-10 minute walk away. The hotel was surprisingly quiet all hours of the day and night. Late at night the front door is locked by a keypad, so we didn't have to worry about people wandering in at night. There's also someone at the desk all the time. The bed was huge and super comfortable. There was a big window in the room -- the window didn't look out onto anything spectatcular, but certain rooms have a direct view of the Manhattan Bridge Arch -- ours did not but not a huge deal. There is a water and ice machine in a basement floor via the elevator. The room had plenty of space for our luggage without feeling cramped. Our room had a walk-in shower with glass door. No bathtub (also fine). The shower was adequate. The thermostat in the room is great and would accomodate very cold to warm temperatures.Lastly, the hotel books a taxi/driver from the LaGuardia Airport to drive you to the hotel when you arrive if you fly in for no extra cost. This was SO CONVENIENT. As far as I know they don't shuttle you back to the airport, but the ride to the hotel was good enough.
Disliked: Our room had no microwave or mini-fridge, and I would've liked to have those. There is only one elevator in the building, so sometimes it would be backed up or take a while to get to our floor or lobby -- especially during checkout time. There is a snack machine by the water/ice machine in the basement, but I wish there were also a drink vending machine as well. The bathroom has some shelving but it's a little light if you have skincare or makeup to set out -- it's adequate but I would've liked another shelf for more space. This isn't the hotel's fault but in Chinatown there's not a lot open late -- however the restaurant Sanmiwago on Bowery is like one block from the hotel and open until 2am every night. A LIFESAVER for late night eating.
