Decent but $500 cash deposit...
Liked: I liked the room. Was clean.
Disliked: During breakfast. The lady kept taking out the trays of toast..There were too many. But zero cutlery and no cups at all. So i asked her to bring more please. People were waiting impatiently. So people started to open the drawers looking and we found some cups.Also for the 250 deposit i could not use my credit card . So the lady said if cash is $500 deposit. Why 500? That is not right. I did not do it. I used another cc.

Poor
Disliked: I know it's hard to find an affordable hotel in Montreal downtown. But I really don't like the place. Only one old elevator, so going up and down slowly. Waiting in line for 30 minutes to check-in. No free parking, and parking very expensive and not convenient! The room looks outdated.

Disliked: I would like to file a complaint regarding my recent booking at Lux Hotel. Unfortunately, I was not able to check in or even access the building despite arriving after a 7-hour drive.When I reached the hotel, the street was reduced to one lane with No Parking signs on both sides. I drove in circles around the building for a long time and found no accessible entrance or parking. The hotel’s parking lot itself was blocked by construction barriers.I repeatedly tried calling the hotel for almost 50 minutes using all available extensions, but no one answered. Eventually, a young lady finally spoke to me in a very unprofessional and rude manner, telling me to park on the street and walk inside. I tried to explain that there was no parking available within two blocks and that the building itself was inaccessible, but she was dismissive and unhelpful.Exhausted and with no solution provided, I had no choice but to search on Google for another hotel, where I booked a room as a walk-in and spent the night.This experience was extremely disappointing and felt misleading. The hotel did not send any notice, sign, or email informing me of the access and parking issues. I believe this situation amounts to a serious service failure and could be considered a scam.I request a full refund for this booking and ask that appropriate action be taken against the property to prevent other guests from going through the same experience.Thank you for your attention to this matter.
