Nice cabin but uncomfortably cold

Liked: The cabin was clean, and a good size. Can comfortably sleep 5 pax. Kitchen is well equiped. Good location not too far from downtown.
Disliked: When we arrived the cabin door and window was left slightly ajar probably for ventilation purpose. However it was late winter/early spring and the entire cabin was super cold. There was only 1 portable heater which barely has any heat. Only the queen bed has heated matress which we only stumbled upon the switch hours later. It was hidden almost invisible under the matress. Those on the bunkbeds and single bed have no heating and had difficulty to sleep because of the cold.

Liked: I stayed in a tourist cabin. Great. Small, but has everything you need, kitchenette (sink, benchtop stove, fridge, microwave.Double bed and bunk beds. Couch, dining table and chairs, TV outdoor seating.Close to some bush walks that lead to a waterfall, definitely worth a look.I would stray here again for work but wouldn't be a family destination.
Disliked: The campground itself was pretty run down. Playground is unusable. Everything is a bit old and could do with a freshen up. I don't think any maintenance gets done other than cleaning and mowing lawns.In the cabin, the couch is an old sofa bed and is not comfortable to sit on, could do with an upgrade. Same with the double bed and linen - all clean and tidy but just old. The bathroom had mold growing on the ceiling and walls where the cleaner can't reach. Maybe need a ladder or long handled mop to properly clean this. Air vent was also very filthy.
