Loved it. Would stay again.

Liked: Very clean and comfortable room in a charming historic house. Nice soft towels. Well stocked pantry for coffee/tea and half and half in the fridge. Good security/felt safe. Near groceries/restaurants/subways. And close to beautiful Prospect Park.
Disliked: The steps (inside and out) can be a bit challenging with luggage. Michelle kindly helped with me with my bag.

No frills accommodation, for us...

Liked: Much cheaper than other accommodation in NY I could find (booked 5 mths in advance and looked for under $200 per night - which is a struggle thesedays). Toilet was clean. Only ca 25 mins on metro B or Q to Times Sq.
Disliked: Can hear all noises, steps, heating loud when put on and possibly property’s washing machine. Our room had only one good pillow and another one was high and hard. Room a bit dated and a strange, almost empty room with it, looked like a storage. Neighbourhood a bit rough and has vape shops etc. Quite difficult to reach from JFK (air train -> A -> C -> S). Bad Wi-Fi. Communication a bit hard and done via automated messages.

Overall nice place for the...

Liked: Location was good. No Breakfast Provided. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: NO BREAKFAST PROVIDED. TV was inoperable for some reason.

It was lovely to stay...

Liked: We had use of the kitchen, plenty of deli/shops nearby to buy and prepare in kitchen.
Disliked: Not that we didnt like it but because it was a protected building, there was no lift. Michelle was very kind to help us with our heavy suitcases up 3 flights of stairs.

Too bad

Liked: The onsite host was very pleasant and does a good job managing the house.
Disliked: There were 2 giant cockroaches or water bugs or whatever they were on our bed. One of them was at least 3 inches long. We stayed the night feeling very uncomfortable about the bugs and left in the morning to find someplace else to stay. We paid for 3 nights but only stayed one uncomfortable night.

Best stay in NYC for...

Liked: Michelle (the host) was so lovely, warm and welcoming. The House is in a great location with good access to shops, subway etc. It's also super quiet and calm inside the house compared the chaos of NYC. Our room and bed was incredibly comfy too! Absolutely loved our stay! Also loved that they had a neat little kitchen with all the basics so we could cook our food to save some $$$
Disliked: Nothing! Loved every bit of the house.
