A little dated, but not...
Liked: Breakfast was nice, cooked to order, with pastries and a selection of fruit, cereal and toast avaliable to help yourself to.The staff were friendly and helpful, although did seem to be a little preoccupied in the bar area sometimes.
Disliked: Room not clean, dean flies on the windowsill, along with other insect wings.Red blood looking stain on bedding.Someones old dirty laundry was left in the floor of the wardrobe.Sticky chewing gum on the carpet just under the bed that decided to transfer itself to my shoes when sitting on the end of the bed with my feet tucked under whilst getting ready.Mould above shower, lots of marks and holes in the wall, headboard full of clawed looking scratches.. Towels had a funny smell to them. a 'prong' on the window that would hold the opener was missing/broken meaning we couldn;t open the window.Overall the hotel just seemed very old, which I understand as a castle hotel it isnt new, but for the price and when you're advertising as a magical castle hotel it either needs to be old and classical and done well, OR nicely modernised inside the rooms with the castle aesthetics outside. Sadly this just seemed lost somewhere inbetween, and had we have not been staying for a local wedding would not have paid the price.

Hotel is gorgeous from the...
Liked: Lovely grounds and building and good location.
Disliked: Rooms need a refurb, you can tell the hotel is very old. Our room had drainage issues in the shower in the bathroom so very awful smell. A lovely maintenance man did come to fix the problem promptly however it did dampen the experience. The front desk staff don’t seem to know what they are doing, it’s like they’ve never checked anyone in or out or dealt with customers before, very bizarre.

Liked: The bed was comfy, crisp clean sheets and a beautiful view out of the window in the morning.
Disliked: The hotel didn't have our booking registered properly on their system as we had booked through booking.com, and then could not find conformation of payment which had gone through the day prior.A £200 hold is put on credit card for any damages to the room, but in the room the toilet and bath were already both damaged / broken. We weren't aware the room was an adjoining room and we could hear every word from the neighbouring adjoining room and wouldn't have booked if we had known this was the room we'd get.

A wonderful 2 night stay in a charming peaceful grand hotel
Liked: On arrival at reception we were greeted by Emma who made us feel really welcome' and but us at ease about our stay at Leasowe Castle hotel. There is plenty of free parking in the pleasant hotel grounds. The bar offered meals and drinks at reasonable cost, breakfast was full hot English breakfast served at the table. All staff were really pleasant and helpful, would definitely stay again. Big thank you to all staff who looked after us on our two night stay
