Liked: Breakfast very good.
Disliked: That after upgrading to deluxe suite. Could not eat in hotel. Had to walk down country lane with traffic with partner dressed up to fet food at a Indian restaurant found that unexpected and yo get back in the dark

Lovely stay with large pool...
Liked: We were a party of 30 all women gathered for a crafting/art event. The conference room was generous and airy with WC easy to access and close. The arrangement of bars and lounge space made for really nice areas to gather and chatter in the evenings without it feeling cramped. We could have drinks or simply gather without pressure which was lovely. My room was huge by uk standards and very nice. Bathrooms with both bath and shower separate is great. The Spa area swimming pool gym and sauna were wonderful . The tiling a little tired but clean and the pool is a big size for a hotel and opening at 6.30am and closing late allowed me to swim every morning before our group started and for others to swim after we finished. The staff were friendly helpful and keen to please. There was a nice relax vibe a little chaotic at times but not so it spoilt our enjoyment. All in all I hope our group choose to come here again.
Disliked: The food was good but rather old fashioned and the service slow The choices a little heavy not much for those wanting a healthy choice eg battered fish , burgers , pate and pie & chips . The salads were a little chunky and not refined . On the flip side I have not had such good breakfast for a while it was fresh very hot and a super range of choices. During a three night stay I ate out after the first night and with a lighter bite option I would have eaten in.

Old woman at front desk...
Liked: It was clean.
Disliked: The fact that the pool didnt allow children in it at certain hours throughout the day and this wasnt stated when I told them I'd be staying with my child. We had 10 mins in the pool and had to get out. We stayed at the hotel for my daughters birthday. The old woman who was front desk at breakfast was EXTREMLY rude, made us feel very unwelcome, very rushed and very uncomfortable. We didnt enjoy our breakfast because of this. She should not be working at front dest at all she has NO customer service skills. Miserable face. Never cracked a smile once. Never said thank you or youre welcome. Never wished us a nice breakfast or nice day. Ignored us when we said thank you. Awful woman.

Great hotel. With sufficient facilities....
Liked: The staff was friendly. The reception was very friendly 10+. The beakfast was very, very good.
Disliked: The room/bathroom could use an upgrade. Outside by the seating area it was full of cigarette butts. (I don't smoke myself.) The garden behind the pub could do with some work. There were also cigarette butts in the parking spaces in front. Airco in the rooms would be great. But there was a blower in wardrobe. But I must say it was very hot outside.

Very pleasant, nice meeting rooms.
Liked: Parking was easy and not far from city centre . Also nice and quiet.
Disliked: The menus were lacking with vegan options. Our room did not have air conditioning and it was very hot!
