Liked: The conversion of Avery old building was admirable. The interior was stylish and comfortable.
Disliked: A few things in our room needed attention: a loose bedside light fixture and a running toilet.

Liked: We really liked the shower and the bed is very comfortable.
Disliked: The overall stay was quite confusing. The hotel is far from providing excellent service.The construction work on the street is a hassle when arriving with luggage. We had to disembark and drag our luggage for a block, in the middle of a sidewalk under construction.The breakfast has some quality products, but we didn't have any cut fruit.On the first day at the hotel, the bath products ran out: shampoo and shower gel.We asked for them to be replaced on the second day and they didn't do it.We had to go to dinner without taking a shower.We complained again and only got the shampoo refilled.So we used the bar soap from the sink to shower.The price of the parking lot is outrageous: CAD60 per day.We wouldn't stay here again.

Liked: The staff was friendly and helpful, loved the morning coffee.
Disliked: The location had so much construction in the area our taxi could not get us to the door. We searched with our luggage in tow up and down the street. We bumped into a person smoking crack on the side of the building while we searched.Looking out our window we could see lots of garbage and a person sleeping in a box on the street.The early start on construction wasn't ideal alarm clock.

Great Place to Stay in...

Liked: Great boutique hotel - small number of rooms. Welcoming and cozy. Modern facilities. Great sleep. Breakfast was modest but enough to start the day. Pleasant staff. Great location in the heart of Old Montreal.
Disliked: There was a problem with the elevator.
