Very good
Liked: Beautifully decorated
Disliked: It was very cold and no way of warming the room up, nor any additional blankets. I slept under extra clothes. The bed was very low, which wasn't an issue for me but could be for visitors with mobility problems.

Fantastic stay and will definitely...
Liked: Staff were very friendly and attentive. Restaurant food was excellent. Venue had stunning outdoor area.
Disliked: Room lighting was very dark which created a lovely ambience but it made it very difficult to see when applying makeup.

Stay elsewhere.
Liked: Nice garden
Disliked: Old & very tired decor that needed a deep clean. Small dirty rooms with no modern facilities. Very poorly presented breakfast with cold and virtually raw food and no follow up from staff as to why the meals were returned uneaten.

Stylish but not very practical.
Liked: Cute decor, beautiful gardens when accessible. Toiletries provided are lovely and bed linen nice quality. Breakfast food was very good.
Disliked: I’d sum our room up as ‘very impractical’. Radiators started clunking loudly to turn on at 5am so that was our sleep ruined. ( radiator knob was broken so no way of tuning it off - had to open all windows as it got very stuffy but the traffic is very loud) Bathroom can only be described as farcical - no hooks to hang towels or dressing gowns inside bathroom (which has been mentioned in previous reviews and the hotel said they would act on it - obviously have not) so had to put clothes/ towels on the floor. The open shower flooded the whole bathroom floor (despite us trying to be very careful) as there’s no lip on the shower tray so all towels and clothes completely sodden and it also seeps out onto the bedroom carpet. Probably explains why all windows open and fan were on when we arrived even though it wasn’t hot. They’re trying to dry it out between guests. Toilet is wedged in between the shower and wall in a very tight gap so large guests would have problems using it. The bedroom room had no surfaces to use to get ready (disappointing as it’s primarily a wedding hotel) only one small desk which was full of the kettle etc. and no adequate lighting to get ready. I get that dim lighting is part of the boutique aesthetic but again, impractical. Breakfast was good but service was very slow. Finally - the petit double room was just not suitable for two people. Would have been ok for a single person but there’s barely any room to walk around the bed and if you’re used to king size bed it’s only a double. I don’t think they should sell these rooms for 2 persons. There’s petite and there’s impractical. This is impractical.
