Decent hotel, within walking distance...

Liked: Friendly and helpful reception, within walking distance of town/lake, free water available from fountain in hallway, rooftop bar and in house bakery.
Disliked: There are no common areas within the hotel to enjoy snacks or drinks purchased outside of the hotel. During inclement weather, we were told no outside food or drinks were permitted in the common areas. We were told these were only permitted in our rooms. This was disappointing considering we paid over 1000 euros for 4 nights. There is a large vacant lot between the hotel and the lake. There are views of the mountains in the distance. However, the hotel is not actually on the lake and the vacant lot is not pictured in the advertisement. The breakfast is nearly 30 euros per person. While it’s convenient, I don’t feel it is worth the price point. We paid less for a better breakfast at 4 star hotel in Paris. There seemed to be construction going on in/around the hotel. The noise was extremely loud and disruptive one day during our stay. This was during inclement weather so we were in our room.
