Given the price and other...
Liked: The location was great and the bed was nice enough.
Disliked: This is not a five star experience. The queen room square footage was taken up by a useless hallway of furniture - there was no room in the closet to hang clothes and nowhere to stow luggage. Bathroom was fully "automated" but there was no hand soap. And the windows were just odd. All in all this would be a suitable room for one guest; not two. Given the price and other reviews we were very underwhelmed.

Liked: Excellent location right in the heart of Montreal. Absolutely fabulous hotel, amazing rooms (exceptional bathrooms), and excellent service. Would recommend the concierge and their recommendations, never failed us once.

Five Stars – A Wonderful...
Liked: My wife and I had a fantastic time at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The cleanliness of the entire property was outstanding — our room was spotless and well-maintained throughout our stay. The service was equally impressive; every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommended!

Liked: Clean, modern
Disliked: dog was barking a lot. (I've never stayed in a 5 star hotel where I hear a dog barking next to my room. My friend from Tokyo was very dissapointed.)The shower nobs were broken. (really? 5 star?)

Great stay in a historical...
Liked: The staff was superb! The building was amazing. The bathroom was really nice!
Disliked: The only thing that would have made the property one of the best would have been an included breakfast.

Disappointing - not at all...
Liked: Location was perfect. The hotel entrance and lobby is impressive.
Disliked: For the price it really didn’t live up to being a 5 star hotel. We had a large suite/ with terrace. The technology for room lighting -/ blinds / etc is complicated and not at all intuitive. It’s like they tried too hard to make it technically advanced but in practice it was just a nightmare and you are constantly turning on or off the wrong things. The bed was not at all comfort of a 5 star hotel - the pillows were awful- and the quality of the linens and towels were just about the same as any 3 star hotel. The restaurant is just ok- not terrible but not memorable either- it’s ridiculously over priced though. The bath and toiletry products were not very luxurious- The refrigerator /mini bar in our room didn’t keep any beverages cold. I opened a bottle of champagne from the mini bar only to find it like warm. The shower was nice- but again not very intuitive and the “chromatherapy is are just lights- don’t be expecting much except color changes to red & blue. I really do feel like our money would have been far better spent at Birks or even a Marriott for that matter. Overall just really disappointing for a 5 star hotel. The staff are great- very responsive & friendly and helpful- but the hotel has a long way to go to be competitive as a five star establishment.
