Passable

Disliked: Reception informed me that the bar was open until 23.30. When I returned to the hotel at 22.45 after dinner I went to the bar. The girl behind the bar told me they were closed as it was quiet and she could not offer me a drink as she had already put her utensils away for cleaning. She was surrounded by glasses and drink options. Very disappointing in an Edinburgh city centre hotel in the middle of the Edinburgh Fringe / Festival. I travel to Edinburgh regularly with work and this was my first stay in this hotel. It hardly encourages me to try the hotel again.

Really nice place to stay.

Liked: Very spacious and stylish room. Very close to the centre of Edinburgh.
Disliked: Took a while to find the room thermostat! it was hidden among lots of pictures on the wall.

Great location

Liked: The staff were great with me as a single traveller, the food great and atmosphere as it was fringe week
Disliked: My room was above where the fringe was so a little noisy but I bought some earplugs

Liked: Location, helpful staff on check in and check out. plus excellent help when travel plans changed unexpectedly
Disliked: That the coffee pot had a used tea bag in it, when I tried to order room service no one answered phone (tried numerous times) and often reception during my stay had no staff on
