Very cool hotel. A converted federal courthouse. The whole place is quite eccentric. The rooms are quite small. They are very dimly lit, even with all of the lights on. The windows open to high rises and busy streets so zero privacy with the curtains open. My window overlooked the valet parking guys. I had to keep the curtains shut because of all of the people which made the room very dark. Front desk staff was super cool and helpful to me. Restaurant service was kind of slow but the food was great. Room service - same.
Liked: Pretty much everything.
Disliked: Rooms were small.

Liked: Architecture and building interior was fantastic. Great to see a historic old building live on as a comfy hotel. Check-in and out was smooth and the front desk staff were friendly. Centrally located and close to everything in Tampa.
Disliked: Bar staff at the hotel's Bizou lounge were overwhelmed by what appeared to be a wedding reception. They needed more help. Staff at Bizou bar were curt with the hotel's non-wedding guests so they could attend to the wedding party.

Liked: Used to be an old court house. They still have some of the original features which adds charm to the hotel. Modern style rooms clean neat . Great shower!!!

Liked: The fact that it was originally a court house gave us a feel of the past.
All staff, without exception were approachable, friendly and treated everyone the same, always with a happy smile.
Disliked: Our stay was too short, we went on a cruise for a week

Liked: Historic federal courthouse was a visual treat: many of the classic features (heavy wood doors, lots of marble trim, easy to access stairs) were retained. Modern treatment (furniture, bathrooms) well chosen and comfortable.
Disliked: Loose faucet in bathroom sink should have been spotted and fixed. Importantly, wifi was not free. Costs ranged from a minimum of $9.95 a day, and up from there. A chintzy way to save money, ill suited to this classy city hotel.

Liked: Beautiful, well designed rooms. Fun to feel like you're part of history! In walking distance to great restaurants, entertainment, & the waterfront. I grew up visiting family in Tampa suburbs, but never experienced this part of the city before-- I was delighted by the architecture and development of the city and would definitely stay here again!
Disliked: There was nothing in the mini bar.

Liked: Bed is comfortable; room is pretty clean; modern decoration
Disliked: Not really providing value for the money- would def. prefer to live in Tampa Bay at the same price for leisure trip Staff are not very prompt- Lost something in the hotel and called 4 times but still couldn't find it, Would expect a better service considering the price
