Poor reflection of the brand.
Liked: Location was great situated on the Mall property it has easy access to many restaurants and shopping options. Also centrally located in the west suburbs and close to highways made for easy local trips.
Disliked: The hotel floors were dark and not very inviting. We were excited to try the brand and was left disappointed. I hope that this hotel does not reflect the overall brand though not sure we will experiment again. Traveled with a toddler and this hotel is not really geared towards family travel. The bathroom was small with toilet and shower split from the sink which was also small. There was no storage, shelves, hooks, bars or anywhere in general to hang and store your luggage or toiletries with most of our bags ending up on the floor. We think if it were a business trip the place would have been more agreeable.

Liked: The location is ideal for what we wanted. Close to shopping but home so we could escape have our annual holiday tradition of shopping, spending time together for a night and getting away but being close enough to our medically fragile youngest. It was also a little delayed anniversary stateside. The staff were wonderful as always and even through in breakfast which we did not take part in due to change in plans. The property was once a bustling fun spot but over the years since Covid it’s definitely seeing a shift In upkeep, amenities and quality vs price. Our room was fine and we will return I just wish Bonvoy would give this place a facelift instead of relying on biz travel and location to merely stay afloat
Disliked: We booked a concierge level room which usually means there’s a benefit to the extra cost and honestly other than a higher floor and price point that was it. The rooms are in need of updates and we’ve been staying multiple time a year since 2021. I know Covid did a number on hotels but prior to the property was known to be top notch.
