Liked: The hotel is great. The room is very clean and everything well appointed. The airconditioning is great, especially since we stayed during a heatwave. The courtyard and the lounges were all pleasant areas to hang out in. Overall a wonderful stay despite the fact that the immediate surrounds were not so pleasant.
Disliked: The hotel is not in such a great location. It's a fifteen minute walk to Marais and less than ten to the Canal St Martin which are great areas to explore, but its immediate vicinity is a dirty part of paris. Once you get past those couple of streets though, then all is well again.

Liked: The beds and linen are excellent. You can actually open the windows. I'd stay again if i can get a good room rate, which means ensuring you're between seasons and there are no public holidays. I booked two months in advance and got a rate i could only just afford ... but that's Paris.
Disliked: Breakfast is way over-priced and the service staff very obviously police the counter to ensure nobody takes anything they're not entitled to. Rather mean-spirited, I thought. Especially compared to CitizenM, for instance, where breakfasts are stupendous and nobody cares what you have. However, lots of cafes around where you can have a great breakfast for less.
