Liked: It's a small, quiet location right on the boardwalk. The rooms are small but always clean. The staff is friendly. We have stayed at the Lodge every summer for the past 5 years.
Disliked: The rooms are very small, and the refrigerator had a sour smell.

Liked: Close to the beach! Lots of room! Clean! Beds comfortable!
Disliked: Waiting, because our room was given away. But they accommodated my family well!

Liked: We liked the location, you could see the ocean from the porch.
Disliked: Very outdated, the staff was not helpful at all and very short, the beds were very uncomfortable, the water pressure in the shower was like standing in the rain. There was no carpet to wipe your feet to prevent sand from being all over the room

Disliked: The hotel was in pretty shabby condition. No apparent updates in that bathroom for probably 60 years. The sink had a slow drip. I read reviews that said the hotel had bed bugs and they were rude and unresponsive when I asked for a refund before our trip. We did not see any bugs or insect infestation, so I don't know if that was true. I have an 8-year-old child with a genuine insect phobi, so this was a potential and serious issue. The night.we checked in, a friendly front desk clerk called and asked when we would be checking in. I told her that we had already checked in about 7 hours earlier.There was no record of us actually checking in, though the front desk clerk in the afternoon took me to the room, showed us around, and gave me a parking pass. Also, check out tine is 10am so that stinks. I would avoid this hotel..Still, I found the staff to be a generally friendly group of people...
