Comfy bed and well equipped...

Liked: Beautiful setting and lots of character. Very comfortable room with a little garden to sit in.

This is an ancient charachterful...

Liked: I arrived close to last orders and chose my evening meal, it was amazing , the food was perfectly cooked and tasted sublime, the house wine was delicious, and although it wasn't inexpensive by any measure, it was better than I expected.The room was enormous and clean, with a fabulous bathroom.
Disliked: Tiny gripe the extract fan in the bathroom made a continuous hum, even when it finished running.

Disappointing

Liked: Nice setting
Disliked: There was nobody on reception at check-in. The hotel and restaurant was quite literally deserted, no atmosphere. The room was very warm, despite the portable aircon. The breakfast was disappointing. The guacamole was like a paste, rather than chunky and fresh. Overall an underwhelming experience.

Liked: The history. Built in the 1500’s, I like to think of how many people have passed through those doors
