Like history and nature? Stay...

Liked: Langrish house is historical and situated in an abundance af nature and farmland (we visited july). It has seen its heydays once as a private mansion, and today everything looks worn and tired. Dont expect a modern hotel with all amenities. But things are clean and do work, and the house is spacious (even the bathroom was not). Service is attentive and personal, more than in most other hotels. SO if you dont need to be pampered by all those amenities, but would like a REAL place to stay and relax, so to speak, then go here. Breakfast is ordered the day before by filling out a list. Choises are about the full english plus cereals, and served carefully at your chosen time. The closest restaurant is "Ye olde George", a beautiful 30 min walk away.

Liked: We had a nice stay at Langrish house. The property has old-world charm, the owners and staff are friendly and the area is beautiful and quiet.
Disliked: The grounds are well maintained but perhaps a bit bare, though we do understand the huge effort involved in running a place like this. The lighting in one of our rooms (no 5) was a bit dim and hard to read by, we suggest an upgrade there.

Lovely country retreat, but no...

Liked: Great location, easy parking, lovely gardens, the owners & staff were very friendly & helpful. Clean & comfortable room, good breakfast
Disliked: The isn’t an EV charger (as mentioned on booking.com), there are two 13amp outdoor sockets near the entrance so I could charge my hybrid using my granny cable. There was no hot food in the evening although I was offered a sandwich & cold beer
