Landmark Motor Inn

Convenient for the Race Course

Liked: The Landmark Motor Inn is very convenient for anyone attending the Sarasota race track. It does not look well maintained, but it looked better than other close by motels.
Disliked: The motel looks like it has seen its best days. Looks rundown and the rooms are very tired looking. Wifi was marginal. Breakfast was minimal and consisted of cello wrapped sweets, a few cereal choices, and bags of bagels, plus coffee and tea. I felt that I paid a lot to stay in a second rate place.

Excellent value!

Liked: The value was excellent for the price. My expectations weren’t high so they exceeded them. It’s clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed on our way to Lake George. The included breakfast and indoor pool were bonuses.
Disliked: The towels were very thin/worn and the bedding could use a refresh but honestly it was a great price so my expectations weren’t high so it wasn’t a big deal.

Liked: The mattresses were firm and comfortable, the shower was hot and nice water pressure. The front desk attendant was helpful and friendly.
Disliked: This place is a mess, very under maintained. I went through 5 rooms before one was found that the AC worked. Each room smelled like a musty moldy basement, each room the AC was not working at all and it was very hot. One room had the door frame busted in so that the door would not close correctly or lock. The desk person was trying to help but was clearly embarrassed and agitated by the situation. This is a very dated and poorly kept place that unfortunately is all that I could find for the night we were staying with decent reviews. I cannot understand people rating this place as high as they are.
