Not a lot of choices in Altenberge!

Liked: Location was very central. Michael was very welcoming and helpful. Shower water pressure was good.
Disliked: Although the rooms are very small, the real problem was the fact that there was neither any air-conditioning nor a fan in the room. As such, it was uncomfortably hot and stuffy in the room. The balcony door didnt even have a fly screen, so when you opened it to try and get a little ventilation, you ended up with a variety of insects inside the room.Although the single beds were comfortable, the pillows definitely werent.You only got one complimentary bottle of water on arrival.Large groups of bikers (as in bicycles) stay there and they tend to leave early to go on their rides, so by the time we got to breakfast the hordes had eaten almost everything and nothing got replenished or topped up, so it was extremely disappointing.We had requested a room on the second floor facing the back of the property (which was quiet) as it can get noisy if you have a room facing the front of the property because groups of people have dinner outdoors.
